Description

The aim of the project is to develop an information system that allows highly structured partial corpora to be extracted from large archives of image-text media for semi-automatic analysis and reception in the humanities. This is done by researching and generating
1. a procedural ontology for guided tours or reception-sensitive trails through image-text spaces,
2. an explorative system for the semi-automatic generation of traverses of such spaces, and finally
3. a system which, based on an existing image-text archive, determines reception habits and feeds them back to the generation of guided tours & trails in a self-learning way.

Potential users of the planned system are in particular art historians, historians, media scientists and philologists at the interface of text and image media. In addition, the system is aimed at applications in museums and image archives.

Within the framework of the pilot project, the basic prerequisites for this are to be created and the next steps prepared.
