The European research association Common Language Resources and Technology Infrastructure
) is committed to the provision, archiving and processing of language data in the humanities and social sciences. This concerns in particular the promotion of sustainability, for example through the use of established standards and the long-term archiving of data collections and research results, as well as advising scientific institutions on the application of workflows for working with digital resources. On national level, the research network is represented by CLARIN D, which in turn is backed by regional centres.
As a CLARIN C centre, CEDIFOR is involved in the network. At the moment we are aiming for certification as a B centre.
We recommend the CLARIN Virtual Language Observatory as an introduction to the methods and resources provided by CLARIN Centres.
